Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise nursing care on the unit, ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Interpret policies and procedures to nursing assistants, residents, families, and physicians.
  • Assume responsibility for compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations within the assigned unit.
  • Conduct resident rounds, direct care for C.N.A.s, and report problems to the nursing supervisor.
  • Prepare and assign nursing assistant assignments and duties.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an approved Practical Nurses Education Program.
  • At least one year of work experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • A Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain standards of care rendered at Grimes Center according to the State of Connecticut Public Health Code.
