Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Loyola University Medical Center. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
- Assist with the completion of patient testing and treatment procedures, including setting up and priming IV tubing, 12-lead ECG, and simple tracheostomy suctioning and care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; one to two years of experience preferred.
