We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our outdoor spaces, including landscaping, walkways, and parking areas.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all exterior areas, including landscaping, walkways, and parking lots, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
  • Check and remove any debris, trash, or cigarette butts from exterior areas.
  • Sweep and clean all walkways and parking areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Notify management of any repairs or maintenance needs, including lighting, public areas, and parking lots.
  • Empty exterior waste baskets and keep receptacles clean.
  • Use assigned equipment, such as carpet cleaners and power washers, to safely clean interior and exterior floors and surfaces.
  • Attend safety meetings and other related meetings to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to guest requests and questions in a friendly and professional manner, and report any guest issues or complaints to management.
Requirements
  • No formal education required, but prior janitorial or custodial experience is desirable.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Ability to meet standards of appearance.
  • Good communication skills to interact with guests and staff.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the shift.
