Job Overview

The Garrett Group is seeking a seasoned Operations Subject Matter Expert to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful coordination, management, and execution of joint exercises and wargames.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise and Wargame Planning: Provide on-site support and assistance to plan, develop, execute, and analyze joint exercises and wargames.
  • POA&M Management: Assist in the development, coordination, and management of the plan of action and milestones (POA&M) for each joint exercise or wargame event, tracking key actions and deliverable dates throughout the event's life cycle.
  • Conference and Event Support: Assist with the planning, coordination, and support for conferences and milestone events related to joint exercises or wargames, such as Concept Development Conference (CDC), Initial Planning Conference (IPC), Mid-Planning Conference (MPC), Final Planning Conference (FPC), and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Synchronization Conference (SYNCH).
  • Planning Work Group Leadership: Chair planning work groups as determined by the joint exercise or wargame lead planner and Branch Chief.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding and be able to speak authoritatively on all aspects of weapons systems operations, including mission planning, generation procedures, deployment procedures, weapons system employment tactics, and publishing daily operations orders.

Minimum of 7 years of experience with Joint doctrine and planning processes, including end-to-end operations and processes from National-level decision making through Unit-level execution.
