Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Watertown Harmony Hill. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including baked goods, soups, and entrees, following standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as mixers, slicers, kettles, combination ovens, food grinders, food processors, ovens, stovetops, induction burners, grills, deep fat fryers, knives, dishwashers, garbage disposals, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Document HACCP steps, temperatures, and outcomes to ensure the safest food possible.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Basic math skills to measure ingredients accurately.
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
