Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our nutrition care team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutritional care to patients, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nutritional Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop and implement patient-specific care plans, and provide education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Menu Modifications and Food Service: Assist in menu modifications, develop standardized recipes, and oversee food service workers in proper food handling and portion control.
  • Clinical Operations and Communication: Support clinical team members and department or unit management with daily clinical operations, develop effective lines of communication regarding nutrition information, and provide in-services to culinary, food service, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement: Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement related tasks, including data collection and execution of tasks as directed.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Certifications: Current Registered Dietitian Certification with the Commissions on Dietetic Registration, and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist in New York State (CDN) as needed.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
