Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interpretation services for students in various educational environments.
- Enhance communication among students, educators, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL) or other necessary sign systems.
- Assist students in comprehending the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs) as required.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, special education personnel, and other professionals to promote student achievement.
- Keep precise records of services rendered and monitor student progress.
- Engage in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter in Florida.
- Expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) and other sign systems as necessary.
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Position Details:
