Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Night Shift Manager to join our team at Gruma Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a shift, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production standards to improve efficiency and quality of operations
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including quality system requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Manage and control production KPIs, including yield, waste, and efficiency
  • Serve as a liaison between management and line employees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Conduct safety and sanitation inspections, and maintain records
  • Resolve process problems and implement corrective actions
  • Participate in safety, sanitation, quality, and new products committees, and actively contribute to the HACCP team
  • Verify GMPs and safety standards are maintained at all times, and take action when deficiencies are noted
  • Consistently apply company rules and policies, including attendance, safety, and employee handbook
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing management, engineering, business, or related field
  • 5 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity
  • Experience in manufacturing management roles, with a proven track record in leading teams to improve efficiency and quality
  • Experience with quality systems and programs, including regulatory inspections and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage people in an organization matrix
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate in Spanish and English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
