Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Design and develop chemical and fuels systems for test facilities.
  • Collaborate with systems personnel to ensure design compliance with propellants.
  • Develop and review work assignments for technicians.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure work is progressing as planned.
  • Participate in test teams and develop strong relationships with technicians.
  • Communicate progress and work independently.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading teams of engineers.
  • Ability to assess materials for propulsion testing.
  • Strong background in safe work practices.
  • Familiarity with piping, flanges, and test hardware.
  • Ability to work with test teams and communicate effectively.
  • Technical writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance.

Education/Experience:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering design software.
  • Technical writing ability.
  • Demonstrated increase in experience and abilities.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at heights and depths.
  • Willingness to work overtime with little notification.
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.

Clearance:

Ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance required.
