Job Summary

As a Software Development Manager at Comcast, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and maintenance of a set of applications within the Syndication Engineering group.

The applications include APIs and other components required to integrate Comcast products and technology with large MSO's systems across North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.

You will manage a distributed team of experienced Developers and DevOps engineers, both Comcast employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities include facilitating inter-team coordination to ensure timely product delivery, participating in product planning and design, monitoring emerging technologies and technology practices for potential use within the team and company, and working with cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a well-rounded team of Software Engineers focusing on best experience and functionality for Comcast partners
  • Coordinate XMP delivery with other teams within Comcast
  • Participate in technical planning and coordination for partners onboarding
  • Participate in partner-facing engineering support coordination
  • Resolve delivery impediments, including coordination with other teams, architects, product managers, partners
  • Ensure delivery of comprehensive solution documentation
  • Track overall delivery status

Requirements

  • Self-starter
  • Proven planning and coordination skills
  • Experience working in agile environment
  • Previous experience serving as a Software Development Manager in agile setting
  • Previous experience managing team responsible for all phases of delivery and engineering support in partner or consumer-facing environment
  • Thriving working across teams and organizations
  • Experience delivering backend components such as high volume B2B APIs using Amazon AWS technologies
  • Technical familiarity with AWS
