We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant A/R to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for key financial functions and will contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
This role encompasses the following primary duties:
- Accounts Receivable Processing and Collections (50%):
- Manage all incoming funds related to the Early Learning Program (ELP) through various payment methods.
- Document and monitor ELP parent and C4Kids transactions, ensuring accurate monthly tracking.
- Conduct collection calls and maintain correspondence with ELP parents regarding outstanding balances.
- Generate monthly reports on accounts receivable status for program directors and finance leadership.
- Prepare and send monthly invoices to ELP parents.
- Attend ELP locations monthly to assist parents with payment inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with the Deputy Finance Director/Comptroller regarding any issues affecting financial operations.
- Support in Financial Records Processing (50%):
- Assist in preparing month-end journal entries for various programs.
- Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis.
- Provide backup support for other finance team members as required.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by finance leadership in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, with two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with some experience.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or English are highly preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with general office practices.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass required background checks.
Compensation: $20-23 per hour
