Mercy Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. As a Housekeeping Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our medical campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect floors, walls, ledges, ceilings, beds, medical equipment, furnishings, commodes, sinks, and other items within the environment.
  • Use heavy-duty floor care machines, mops, and other equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Hang curtains, move furniture, and perform other tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Utilize computer software, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other systems, to perform tasks and maintain records.
  • Communicate effectively with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
Requirements
  • High School transcript showing completion of a minimum of 9th grade or successful completion of literacy assessment.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech, Epic, and Performance Manager/NetLearning.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
