Job Summary:
A Clinical Coordinator is sought after to join the team at Akron Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will assist the nurse manager in daily operations, provide leadership and direction, and contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing personnel.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours/week, with days from 07-1530 plus call. The ideal candidate will be onsite and responsible for maintaining unit safety, participating in performance improvement, and supporting staff recruitment and retention efforts.

Responsibilities:
The Clinical Coordinator will:
• Provide leadership and direction regarding unit goals and work environment
• Demonstrate personal and professional accountability for self and staff
• Maintain unit safety for staff and patients
• Participate in performance improvement
• Support staff recruitment and retention efforts
• Use critical thinking to provide patient care management through staffing plan development, managing daily shift staffing, and delegation of resources

Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a valid Ohio license, current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association, and relevant professional nursing certification. A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing is required, with a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience and previous charge nurse or leadership experience.

Estimated Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and experience.
