Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Slab Foreman to join our team at Stancil Painting and Drywall. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground plumbing systems for new homes and townhomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems, ensuring they are properly sized, aligned, and supported.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine exact specifications and locations for plumbing system installation.
  • Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems, ensuring they meet company standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely and efficient installation.
  • Install systems for transporting water, waste, gases, or liquids, selecting materials and equipment as needed.
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings, observing pressure gauges to detect leaks.
  • Test pipe systems and repair leaks, ensuring all installations meet company quality standards.
  • Work safely and efficiently, using hand power tools and equipment as needed.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble new pipe, placing it in hangers or supports.
  • Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate pipe passage.
  • Perform rough-ins, repair, and replace fixtures and water heaters, locating and repairing or removing leaking or broken pipes.
  • Assist plumbers in the layout, assembly, and installation of fixtures and materials.
  • Requisition tools and equipment, selecting pipe types and sizes as needed.
  • Excavate and grade ditches, laying and joining pipe for water and sewer service.
  • Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and plumbing materials, including fitting sizes and types of piping.
  • Motivated and able to work well with others.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing company needs.
Working Environment and Conditions
  • Work in an outdoor environment, exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Occasionally work with hazardous materials, high places, and equipment.
  • May be exposed to cramped workspaces, contaminants, and extreme temperatures.
