MPF Federal LLC is looking for a dedicated Animal Care Technician to join our team. This position is crucial for ensuring the daily care and welfare of various animal species while adhering to established Animal Welfare standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and uphold sanitation and husbandry protocols for diverse animal species and their housing environments, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain precise records on daily activities and other necessary documentation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate observations regarding the health and behavior of the animals.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to assist in animal care and clinical procedures.
- Contribute to the management of rodent breeding initiatives.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by departmental needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in animal care or a related field.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Capability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
- Availability to work part-time, 2-3 days per week.
- Onsite work is mandatory as per the schedule determined by management.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to secure a public trust clearance.
