Job Summary

Mt. Wachusett Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach and instruct in the Dental Assisting program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes, as well as assessing student performance and submitting final grades in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction in Dental Assisting courses, including lectures and laboratory sessions
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback
  • Submit final grades in a timely manner
  • Be available to students by appointment when mutually convenient
  • Participate in faculty meetings and other college-wide activities
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree with a major in Dental Assisting or a related field
  • DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification
  • Evidence of competence in the area of instruction
  • Maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
  • Masters degree with a major in Dental Assisting or a related field
  • 3-5 years teaching experience in a community college
Compensation

The salary for this position is $4,191.00-$5,064.00 per credit hour for lectures and $6,259.00-$7,562.00 per credit hour for labs.
