Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level legal advice and representation to the Receiver on sensitive and complex matters
  • Represent CCHCS in litigation before state and federal courts
  • Develop, review, and interpret legislation, rules, and regulations necessary for the transformation of the prison medical system
  • Collaborate with administrative, personnel, financial, accounting, contractual, and other operational areas of CCHCS
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualifications (MQ) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
  • Possession of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field
