Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service experiences through all channels of interaction, meeting or exceeding corporate-set goals, expectations, and key performance indicators.
  • Loyalty Programs: Drive GNC's loyalty programs and incentives for successful customer engagement.
  • Product Knowledge: Monitor best sellers, identify product demand, and update store management regarding trends.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate community engagement and client loyalty through innovative and creative outreach.
  • Merchandising: Read all merchandising bulletins to understand product assortment and answer product questions based on Company-approved information.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead store teams under store management guidance, communicate sales targets, and drive team performance.
  • Training: Review all training resources and complete assigned modules to understand product assortment and answer product questions based on Company-approved information.
  • Store Operations: Ensure company assets are protected and not exposed to risks and conflicts of interest.
  • Escalated Issues: Partner with store management to handle escalated customer service issues and support store management in monitoring store Loss Prevention activities.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep store clean and uncluttered.
  • Register Operations: Perform all register operations, complete all daily register and store open/close functions, and bank deposits according to GNC policies and procedures.
Learning and Development
  • Leadership Development: Learn to independently lead staffing and training initiatives.
  • Work Scheduling: Manage work schedules within established budgets for optimal store coverage.
  • Employee Management: Hire, train, and discipline employees.
  • Merchandising and Visual Presentation: Implement planograms and the Visual Playbook in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring GNC's standard of store presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage store inventory within GNC guidelines, receiving, checking, and shelving all merchandise orders in support of the customer experience in store and for omni-channel customers.
  • Quality Control: Adhere to GNC's quality control program for stock rotation, infestation control, outside inspections, and all maintenance problems.
  • Compliance: Ensure total compliance for all store operations policies, executing omni-channel initiatives, including product subscriptions, Ship from Store, and Buy Online Pickup in Store.
  • Complex Duties: Independently perform complex duties, including people management, store operations, inventory management, merchandising, loss prevention, selling, and leading others in selling skills development.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma required or associate degree in business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job.
  • Experience: 2+ years of retail sales experience and prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications, strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
  • Collaboration: Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Influence: Ability to work with and influence subordinates, peers, and senior management.
  • Attention to Detail: Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, high sense of urgency, and reporting.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Availability: Ability to work overtime as necessary and be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Driver's License: Must have a current driver's license.
