Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Neurology to lead its Neurology Department. As a key member of the hospital's leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical services, providing administrative oversight, and managing quality and safety performance metrics.
Responsibilities- Direct the Neurology Department and develop clinical services to meet the needs of patients and the community.
- Provide administrative oversight and manage the department's budget, staff, and resources.
- Develop and implement quality and safety performance metrics to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in neurology to ensure the department remains at the forefront of care.
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- New York medical license.
- Board certification in neurology.
- Proven leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.
- A system work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven health system.
