Key Responsibilities:

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating or selecting products to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the front area, including doors, counters, and displays, to create a welcoming environment.
  • Support promotional activities by providing customer information and assisting with special displays.
  • Keep the sales counter and showcases organized and tidy at all times.
  • Assist in training new cashiers to ensure consistent service quality.
  • Organize dressing rooms and return items to their proper locations as needed.
  • Ensure merchandise is displayed correctly on the sales floor and rotated as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to management.

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed production goals by accurately counting and managing merchandise.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service, addressing customer inquiries and making product recommendations.
  • Follow company principles to maintain a positive shopping atmosphere.
  • Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing to maximize sales potential.
  • Keep dressing rooms tidy and free of clutter, ensuring a pleasant experience for customers.
  • Report any theft incidents to the appropriate management personnel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, pushing, and reaching.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to varying temperatures throughout the workday.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
  • Work independently while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred experience includes six months in retail sales.
  • Ability to manage cash handling procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Must pass a drug and background check.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential.
