Telecommunications Specialist:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and expectations.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to voice hardware and software.
  • Collaborate extensively with IT and related teams to ensure the successful deployment, stabilization, and ongoing management of systems.
  • Oversee projects involving voice installations and implementations, adhering to design specifications and build documentation.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of team performance by assisting in the development of Knowledge Articles, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide insights on team achievements, challenges, and overall progress.
  • Prepare and submit weekly status updates and other necessary reports.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual performance standards.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Occasional local travel may be necessary between client facilities.
  • Operate independently, seeking guidance only in the most complex scenarios.
  • May lead teams or projects with moderate resource needs, risks, and complexities.
  • Guide others in resolving intricate issues; employ analytical skills and tools to discover innovative solutions.
  • Convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.

Work Schedule:

Shifts may vary, but you will be part of a team providing coverage during core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain constructive relationships with clients, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
  • Skill in assessing client needs, ensuring service quality, and evaluating client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture tools.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in challenging environments.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of information technology.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of component compatibility and interconnection standards.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; 4+ additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM & ITBM.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Capability to navigate within and between buildings and offices.
  • Ability to position oneself to maintain computers, including under desks and in server closets.
  • Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as calculators and printers.
  • Must be able to lift and move audio/visual or computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients; must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Resolve technical issues and respond to inquiries regarding computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
