About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Project Coordinator to join our Major Projects Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative, technical, financial, and resource management support for projects from initial bid preparation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide overall administrative support for projects, including sales force administration, contract management, and budget projection.
- Work closely with the Project Management Organization to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational best practices.
- Collaborate with construction management to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Define problems, collect information, and establish facts to provide appropriate resolutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Setup, organize, update, and maintain electronic and printed files of project documents.
- Manage budget projection for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project.
- Responsible for working with Project Controls Manager to provide project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting.
- Responsible for the invoicing or payment application process as well as monitoring the quality of weekly labor, timecard approvals, and equipment hours, material, and subcontractor reporting.
- Develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and requests for information.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management.
- Previous construction experience, preferably in the underground industry.
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative when needed.
- Ability to understand all underground procedures and duties.
- Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening).
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
- Travel is a MUST as needed to support the projects you are assigned to.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint required; Visio, PowerPoint preferred).
This is a full-time position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an indoor/outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind.
Physical Requirements:The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time as necessary, tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated hand digging, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.
