Job Summary

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical, administrative, and educational activities of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
    • Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Clinical Expertise
    • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.
    • Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research and best practices in emergency nursing.
  • Education and Training
    • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff.
    • Provide mentorship and coaching to nursing staff to support their professional development.
    • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement educational programs for patients and families.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Develop and implement quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce errors.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address quality and safety concerns.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in nursing, including at least 2 years of management experience.
  • Certifications
    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
