Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our team at Gpac. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Estimation: Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall projects.
  2. Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
  3. Cost Analysis: Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
  4. Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  5. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates and bids.
  6. Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  7. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and other relevant documents.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to continuously improve estimating processes and methodologies.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial drywall estimation.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software such as Onscreen Takeoff/ QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
  4. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project requirements, interpret drawings and specifications, and accurately calculate material and labor costs.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  6. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and bidding processes.
  7. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  8. Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  9. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the projects.
