Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms for procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other materials.
- Maintain a sterile environment by following proper aseptic technique and handling of instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Participate in the turnover of operating rooms between procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- BLS certification.
- NBSTSA certification (preferred).
- 1+ year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in an operating room.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
This is a full-time position that requires working varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
