Job SummaryThe Operating Room Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operating room procedures.
- Document patient information and care provided, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current RN license in the State of Kentucky
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of employment
