SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
DYWIDAG is a renowned global entity in the realm of construction and infrastructure technology, collaborating with governmental bodies, asset proprietors, construction firms, and design agencies to enhance their infrastructure initiatives. With a presence in over 50 nations, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of infrastructure daily.
The Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in analyzing and strategizing purchases aligned with inventory KPIs. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of both domestic and international procurement processes, including freight contracting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Foster a positive and secure working atmosphere.
- Utilize data analytics to identify challenges and implement processes for enhancement.
- Identify inefficiencies in material procurement and work towards their elimination.
- Adapt to shifting priorities under tight deadlines while managing demanding clients.
- Work autonomously to meet objectives set by management.
- Engage effectively with diverse teams, from manufacturing personnel to senior executives.
- Operate within a KPI-driven framework to structure tasks aimed at achieving targets.
- Complete daily responsibilities in both office and production settings.
- Perform additional duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement is essential.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and purchase order creation is required.
- Experience with data mining tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with various metal manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Quality, Cost, and Safety systems is a plus.
- Background in supplier development and fostering long-term partnerships is beneficial.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Ability to evaluate suppliers' technical capabilities and assess their suitability for production.
- Exceptional management of customer and supplier relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, innovative, and self-sufficient individual with strong project management capabilities.
- Must be self-motivated, efficient, and organized.
- Proficient in MS Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Fluency in English is required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a laptop for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to forty pounds.
