Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Jefferson County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the mental health wellness of students by providing evidence-based interventions, engaging families, and coordinating with community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group interventions to support student mental health
  • Engage with families to promote student well-being
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide comprehensive support services
  • Develop and implement training programs for school personnel
Requirements
  • One of the following credentials: KY(EPSB) credential in School Social Work, School Counseling, or School Psychology; or Fully Licensed Professional Counselor; or Licensed Clinical Social Worker; or KY Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; or Licensed Professional Art Therapist; or Kentucky Licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Ability to work well with people and communicate effectively
  • Desirable qualifications: three years of experience providing mental health and/or behavioral support with school-aged children, experience in crisis intervention and counseling, experience working with children exposed to trauma, and experience in a diverse workplace
