Wound Ostomy Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Ostomy Nurse to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Wound Ostomy Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound, ostomy, and continence care throughout inpatient and outpatient areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop patient plans of care for wound, ostomy, and continence patients.
- Provide education to patients and families on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay current with advances in wound, ostomy, and continence care through ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
- Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) certification.
- Two years of nursing experience.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a variable work schedule. The successful candidate will be employed by UNC Health Care System and will be exempt from overtime.
