We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. This role will play a crucial part in driving innovation and efficiency within our manufacturing processes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing new equipment installations, developing and maintaining robotic programs, designing and programming fixtures, and providing support and training to manufacturing operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage new equipment installations to automate and upgrade manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain robotic programs used throughout our facilities.
- Design and program management of fixtures used within robotic processes.
- Support and train manufacturing operators on the use of robotic automation equipment.
- Document all changes to production programs for future correlation to downstream process outputs.
- Determine key input variables within the automation process to ensure that process is robust against minor variations in casting dimensions.
- Determine/implementation of key output variables to validate that critical functions within a program/piece have completed successfully before running additional product.
- Support Manufacturing/Process owner in cross functional scrap initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with fixture design.
- Experience in project management in an industrial environment.
- Experience programming robotics.
- Prior exposure/knowledge of statistical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
A Green Belt certification in Six Sigma is preferred, as well as experience with Motoman and/or Fanuc robots, offline programming, and prior exposure/knowledge of statistical analysis.
