- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee adherence to company quality standards and engineering checking and approval procedures.
- Perform checking or assign checkers for engineering drawings and mathematical calculations.
- Responsible for ensuring overall quality and technical accuracy of deliverables.
- Plan and manage workload, budgets, and project resources.
- Assist in developing internal design guidelines, specifications, and design control procedures.
- Assess feasibility of projects by evaluating materials, costs, and time requirements.
- Prepare or direct the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and construction schedules.
- Resolve design and development issues.
- Manage client relationships and develop repeat business opportunities.
- Compile discipline-specific man-hour estimates and Total Installed Cost estimates.
- Manage and forecast man-hour requirements and schedules.
- Assess challenges and potential risks of planned projects.
- Undertake initiatives for risk management.
- Responsible for hiring staff, performance evaluations, salary decisions, and resolving grievances.
- Approve time entry and expense reports.
- Provide advice and assistance on work techniques, best practices, and subject matter expertise.
- Set objectives and make significant decisions regarding the purpose, function, and roles within a group or project.
- Comply with company and client health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Actively participate in hazard identification and observation programs.
- Monitor and ensure safe working conditions for staff.
- Ensure all reportable occupational incidents are reported in a timely manner.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering management.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
