About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerial Cable Construction Foreman to join our team at Bigham Cable Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telephone cables, as well as placing telephone poles and anchors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair aerial telephone cables
  • Repair cut or damaged telephone cables
  • Place telephone poles and anchors
  • Operate manual tools such as shovels, posthole diggers, and other hand-held tools
  • Operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, etc.
  • Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers
  • Flag traffic when required
  • Work on special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
  • Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck
  • 2-3 years of experience in aerial construction methods and engineering requirements
  • Self-starter with effective communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States
