Job Summary

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist - Non-Certified to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including routine and advanced imaging procedures, to provide high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the imaging process.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate computerized tomography equipment, including starting and maintaining intravenous (IV) access and using high-speed, pressurized injection equipment.
  • Contrast Administration: Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications, and administer contrast media as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.
  • Team Collaboration: Interact appropriately with patients, radiologists, and other care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday.
  • Departmental Support: Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Exam Room Preparation: Ensure that exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams being performed, and act to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards.
  • Charge Entry: Ensure that all charges are correctly coded and entered.
  • Patient Assessment: Appropriately adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
  • Confidentiality: Perform all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.

Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: None.
