Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in preparing and caring for our surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and prepare surgical equipment and supplies
  • Assist in positioning patients and preparing their skin for surgery
  • Maintain a sterile environment and monitor situations that could lead to breaches in sterile technique
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments, sponges, and sutures
  • Monitor patients and gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization after procedures

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NCCT, NBSTSA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in a hospital-based OR Tech setting preferred
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
