About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at St. Vincent's - Pediatrics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Medications: Safely administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN), maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Medication Management: Present medication to patients, observe ingestion, and administer medication using specified procedures.
  • Patient Monitoring: Take vital signs and observe patients to detect responses to medication, reporting any reactions to the healthcare team.
  • Inventory Management: Restock medication inventories to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, ensuring resident safety by identifying potential hazards and emergency situations, and taking corrective action as needed.
