Job Overview

A senior-level cybersecurity expert is sought after by Gridiron IT Solutions LLC to join their team in Fort Meade, MD. This role involves performing technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and provide mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with various types of vulnerability and assessment scans.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement information assurance guidelines and procedures.
  • Recommend security solutions to support customer requirements.
  • Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications.
  • Conduct IT security site surveys and support Authorizing Official actions.
  • Develop and deliver accreditation packages and audit plans.
  • Implement access control policies and ensure compliance with NIST standards.
  • Document and evaluate information system security vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure all information systems meet compliance requirements.
  • Identify, report, and resolve security violations.
  • Mentor team members and monitor updates to equipment and procedures.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and have 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. They must also possess current DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Sec+).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and/or Certified Accreditation Professional (CAP).
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and implementing continuous improvement solutions.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a virtual team.
