  • Manage implant and instrument retrievals for all orders when product cannot be supplied from Gainesville office for surgical cases; requires on-call support, crisis management, and shipping coordination after-hours during the week and weekends.
  • Document all retrieval activities and report results on a monthly basis to Team Leader.
  • Serve as escalation contact for Inventory Services and the Loaner Program when they need assistance supporting miscellaneous retrieval efforts.
  • Responsible for understanding and balancing Field Sales supply and demand issues of targeted and non-targeted customers with internal supply chain strategies.
  • Carries out inventory optimization plans, Product Lifecycle programs, systems, and audits for managing field inventory logistics to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Report results to Field Sales, Sales Management, and Supply Chain Team as directed.
  • Audit domestic field inventory to ensure optimization of corporate assets.
  • Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
  • Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution required.
  • In lieu of degree, 2+ years' experience in medical device inventory management required.
  • 3 years' experience in customer service, crisis management, logistical inventory management of multiple field locations preferred.

  • Possess the ability to propose sound tactical and strategic charges that support the goals of the company, while still assuring the customer has all inventory available to carry out surgeries.
  • Ability to exercise judgment with respect to process and quality systems.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure for emergency situations.
  • Ability to meet the medical requirements to gain entry into individual hospitals and hospital systems as needed.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Experience with inventory management software.
  • Ability to travel 20% of job.
