Role Summary and RequirementsAs a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will implement tailored therapy programs for individuals facing communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Your responsibilities will include assessment, treatment planning, education, and communication to ensure optimal patient progress.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and establish relevant treatment objectives.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans.
- Develop comprehensive goals to enhance patient outcomes.
- Adapt care plans based on individual patient needs.
- Educate patients, families, and colleagues about treatment processes.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered.
Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year of clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or an approved Clinical Fellowship Plan.
Education:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Licenses and Certifications:
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by healthcare policy.
