Pain Management Nursing Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our team at the VA North Texas Health Care facility. As a Nurse Practitioner in Pain Management, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to individuals suffering from chronic pain.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting initial histories and physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and implementing treatment plans under physician supervision. You will also collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic pain, maintain accurate records, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and outcomes.

Key Qualifications

  • A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure to practice as an APN in any US state or territory.
  • Certification in an area of clinical specialty from a recognized body.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an APN in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
