- Supervise Support Staff: Provide indirect supervision to support staff, ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures.
- Manage Pharmacy Operations: Assist the pharmacy manager in the operation and management of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor Patient Records: Identify potential drug interactions and patient allergies, providing recommendations for modification of drug therapy.
- Provide Prescription Therapy: Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely labeling and dispensing of medications.
- Resolve Patient Issues: Identify and resolve patient-specific medication-related problems and issues in the patient's best interest.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure dispensing of prescriptions in accordance with all legal requirements, regulatory agencies, third-party contracts, and Fairview Pharmacy Services Policy and Procedures.
- Education: B.S. Degree or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
- License/Certification/Registration: Current Minnesota Pharmacy License.
- Experience: One to three years practicing pharmacist in a community setting.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
- Communication: Communicates in a respectful manner.
- Quality of Care: Ensures a safe, secure environment and individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
- Compliance: Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures, and standards.
