SJC Cashier

We are seeking a skilled Cashier (SBA) to join our team at San Jose International Airport. As a Cashier (SBA), you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Greets customers and takes food orders, providing information about menus and opportunities to upsell products
• Operates a cash register, receives payment from customers, and provides change as required, following all customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
• Cleans and stocks the work area, assists with kitchen-related functions, and maintains a solid knowledge of products and services available in the unit
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking the temperature of products
• Cleans and sanitizes the work station and equipment

• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs
• Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
