About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading performance testing and optimization efforts for VR devices, focusing on memory and OS usage by third-party apps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead performance testing and optimization efforts for VR devices, focusing on memory and OS usage by third-party apps.
  • Ensure OS stays within allocated 5GB memory budget.
  • Identify regressions and collaborate with the team to resolve memory and CPU issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using JavaScript.
  • Utilize debugging tools like Perfetto to analyze CPU and memory usage.
  • Understand Android OS internals and app launching mechanisms.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • JavaScript experience
  • Android OS & performance debugging tooling like Perfetto, BPF trace and call stack
  • Basic SQL
  • XFN communication
  • Infrastructure and automation pipeline setup understanding.

Qualifications:

  • Mid to Sr level experience (Level 3/4/5).
  • Experience with performance testing and optimization.
  • Familiarity with VR devices and Android-based OS.
