Wireless Network Architect

The role of Senior Wireless Network Engineer at UCLA Health Hospitals and Clinics involves leading operations and maintenance of Wireless Networks. This position requires hands-on experience in design, implementation, optimization, and administration of Wireless LAN in healthcare settings.
This position involves configuring and deploying Aruba & Cisco Wireless LAN Products such as Wireless Controllers, Access Points, Network Management System, Location Services platforms, AAA/NAC servers like ClearPass, ISE. Additionally, the Senior Wireless Engineer will lead wireless network optimization efforts including RF survey, predictive design, configuration gap analysis & remediation.
Responsibilities include leading wireless network operations handling incidents and service requests from the Business, Patients & Visitors, providing periodic status updates and timely resolution of problems. On-site presence is required for operational support and preventative maintenance of the Wireless infrastructure.
This role also involves supporting NAC (Network Access Control) on Wired and Wireless networks.
A 24x7 On-Call rotation is part of this role, requiring after-hours support for all technologies and products UCLA Health IT supports which includes Campus Routing/Switching, Data Center ACI, Voice, Wireless & WAN.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implementation, optimization and administration of Wireless LAN in healthcare settings
