Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Understand the workflows, functions, and processes of the supported business area, which may include inpatient, ancillary, ambulatory, or revenue cycle.
  • Requirements Gathering: Coordinate with clinical users and apply workflow knowledge to help users define requirements.
  • System Design and Development: Design, configure, test, debug, and maintain programs/applications.
  • Functional Expertise: Apply detailed knowledge of the system's functionality to implement new applications and modules.
  • Documentation: Document business requirements, current and future workflows, and any customized builds as necessary.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate and participate in all phases of application testing during implementations and updates.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve problems with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Support and Training: Provide support during launch events, including during standard business hours.
  • Project Leadership: Lead small to medium-sized projects with minimal managerial oversight. Develop key project management tools, including project plans, issue logs, test plans, and launch events.
  • On-Call Support: Responsible for continuous call tasks for out-of-hours incidents.
  • Cross-Training and Knowledge Sharing: Participate in cross-training for personal development and ensure adequate secondary coverage in all applications.
