Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Energy Procurement Director to lead our global energy and water procurement efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive energy procurement strategy that drives best-in-class outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a global energy procurement strategy that aligns with the company's sustainability goals.
  • Analyze trends and regulations in the energy and water space to ensure consistent and quality supply to our sites globally.
  • Review energy and water markets to identify cost savings opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Manage projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals.
  • Evaluate new markets, tariffs, policies, power contracts, or new sourcing opportunities and technologies.
  • Negotiate power/water/fuel contracts with suppliers.
  • Build and publish regular reports on assigned portfolio to executives.
  • Hire and lead a team of procurement professionals globally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Business.
  • 8+ years of experience in energy markets, energy trading, power contract negotiations, energy regulations, renewable development, or energy generation technologies.
  • Solid experience with hedging or other financial instruments used in the energy sectors.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and recommend strategic outcomes.
  • Outstanding speaking, listening, and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong modeling and data analysis skills.
  • Consistent track record of building positive relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, or other third parties.
