Position Overview:

  • Prepare a variety of food items, including salads, soups, sauces, meats, and vegetables, adhering to established recipes and standards.
  • Perform butchering tasks for chicken, fish, and shellfish.
  • Assess food needs by reviewing the menu and sourcing ingredients from storage.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant food preparation experience; a culinary degree or formal training is advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of food preparation techniques, professional cooking, and knife skills.
  • Able to comprehend and execute instructions, recipes, and written communications effectively.

The compensation for this role is set at $22.00 per hour. The Meritage Resort & Spa reserves the right to modify this range as necessary. The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skill set. Full-time employees in this position are entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401k plan, educational reimbursement, and paid time off that encompasses vacation and sick leave.
