Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Metrodoc Urgent Care. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injuries and disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
  • Prepare images for reading by physicians and contact additional physicians if a second opinion is needed
  • Aid physicians with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Observe safety and security procedures and promote a safe and pleasant work environment
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • ARRT-registered or board eligible
  • Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification or license preferred
Work Environment

This is a part-time/full-time position with a 10-hour shift, 12-hour shift, or 8-hour shift. Weekend availability is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a willingness to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
