Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Cyber Training Specialist, Senior, you will be instrumental in delivering Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for a comprehensive training initiative across the Department of Defense (DoD). Your primary focus will be on ensuring that forces assigned to USCYBERCOM are thoroughly trained, certified, and capable of seamless integration with other Joint Forces through effective coordination with Combatant Commands.
Your duties will include establishing and maintaining rigorous training and certification standards for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and other Joint Cyberspace operations units, thereby facilitating successful USCYBERCOM missions.
Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they align with objectives, uphold Joint standards, and enhance the readiness of Cyberspace forces. You will also be involved in formulating requirements for collective training and exercise events, conducting evaluations of training effectiveness, and contributing to the identification and documentation of observations and lessons learned from training and exercise activities within USCYBERCOM and the broader Joint Force.
Moreover, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic recommendations to the Joint client regarding doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures for the effective joint deployment of Cyberspace operations forces. Your role will also encompass supporting the coordination and development of essential Joint mission tasks, reviewing mission task lists, and assessing USCYBERCOM's capabilities against established Joint mission task standards. Ultimately, your contributions will be vital in ensuring that CMF and other USCYBERCOM assigned forces are adequately prepared to meet Combatant Command Cyberspace operations support needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in training, with a focus on training standards and pipeline development
- 3+ years of experience in a role supporting a Combatant Command (COCOM), Joint Function Headquarters-Cyberspace (JFHQ-C), Joint Duty Assignment, or CMF team
- 2+ years of experience in the development and maintenance of Job Qualification Standards (JQS)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in data collection through various methodologies, including working groups, interviews, and surveys
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to senior leadership
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
