**Job Summary**

Washington Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Unit Manager in our rehabilitation unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, and providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Supervise and Manage Nursing Staff**: Oversee the daily activities of the nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • **Establish and Implement Policies and Procedures**: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the unit, in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • **Mentor and Develop Nursing Staff**: Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced nurses, helping them to develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • **Maintain Quality of Care**: Ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained in the unit, through regular monitoring and evaluation of patient care.
  • **Review Resident Records and Quality of Care**: Regularly review resident records and quality of care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • **Monitor Overall Care and Review Individual Resident Cases**: Monitor the overall care of residents and review individual cases, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • **Address Resident and Family Concerns**: Address concerns and complaints raised by residents and their families, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and fairly.
  • **Represent the Unit's Interests**: Represent the interests of the unit with upper-level management, ensuring that the needs and concerns of the unit are heard and addressed.

**Requirements:**

  • **Valid State RN License**: Must hold a valid State RN license.
  • **Long Term Care Experience**: 3 years of long-term care experience preferred.
  • **Charge Nurse Experience**: 2 years of charge nurse experience preferred.
  • **Strong Computer Skills**: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software.
  • **Excellent Communication Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
