Position Overview/Key Responsibilities for the Epic Applications Specialist:
- Engage in all stages of the Epic Ambulatory/MyChart deployment process, which includes gathering requirements, designing, building, testing, training, and providing go-live assistance.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure that system configurations align with the strategic objectives of the organization.
- Adjust and personalize the Epic Ambulatory/MyChart application to fulfill specific business needs while following best practices and industry standards.
- Employ relevant Epic tools for enhanced efficiency, including but not limited to Sherlock, Orion, and Nova.
- Identify and propose enhancements to workflows, system functionality, and clinical processes proactively.
- Perform regular system audits to maintain data integrity, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and uphold organizational policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing, optimizing, or supporting the Epic Ambulatory/MyChart application within a healthcare setting.
- EpicCare Ambulatory Certification is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Epic system configuration, customization, and integration methodologies.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
